Jennifer Aniston leads Friends reunion
Jennifer Aniston struggled to hold back tears during a mini Friends reunion on Sunday night.
The 47-year-old actress played Rachel Green in the hit television show, which ran from 1994 to 2004. On Sunday Jennifer and her castmates David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc were reunited on the small screen as their NBC tribute to director James Burrows aired.
"We would do anything for Jim Burrows because he really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime," Jennifer said. "We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies, everything, together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well."
The only castmember who was not present from the television special was Matthew Perry, who is being kept busy with his theatre show in London, England.
He did, however, appear in a message via satellite to reveal his own memories of working with veteran director James.
Andy Cohen hosted the special and couldn't resist asking the Friends actors if it was true they all signed contracts "saying that you wouldn't sleep with each other?"
As an awkward silence took over the room, Lisa leaned over and joked to her co-star: "David, say something!"
David then joked: "Well, that was broken!"
Other revelations from the show included the cast remembering their favourite moments from the programme, with Jennifer laughing: "I always loved when we would have the flashbacks. I always loved when we would flashback to fat Monica and Rachel pre-nose job and Ross with his afro."
Jennifer also revealed that she, Courteney and Lisa all ate lunch together for 10 years while shooting the award-winning show, and the cast all got on incredibly well from the get-go.
"In the beginning it was not a hard thing, we really just wanted to hang out together," she smiled.
Later in the programme when James took to the stage to thank his former colleagues for their support, Jennifer was seen struggling to hold back her tears.
