Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are keeping loved ones "on their toes" by remaining silent over wedding plans.
The Hollywood star is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, and there has been a great deal of interest in their upcoming nuptials. It was recently reported that the pair had decided to postpone their wedding, but those close to Jennifer suspect it may be a ploy to ensure they can have a low-profile ceremony away from the spotlight.
"Jen knows the extraordinary level of interest around the wedding, and no one would be surprised if they secretly eloped," a source told British magazine Grazia. "Neither of them really want a massive ceremony, just the important people, so we really wouldn't put it past them to perhaps give 24 hours notice and say, 'Hey, we're actually doing it this weekend!' They're certainly keeping everyone on their toes."
Last month Jennifer was once again the subject of pregnancy rumours, after it was claimed she had been advised by Gwyneth Paltrow to have the cupping procedure in order to boost her fertility.
Even if she isn't pregnant at the moment, Jennifer's friends are confident that both her and Justin will want to have children soon.
"Jennifer has been joking about having a shotgun wedding, so there is every possibility that the main cause of the delay is a baby," a source explained. "Starting a family would be a dream for both Jennifer and Justin, and if that happens soon, then all focus will be on a baby."
There are believed to be a number of factors involved in Jennifer and Justin's decision to put their wedding on hold.
They both have hectic work schedules and are said to be struggling to find time for a break from movies.
"They've both got so much on their plate at the moment that planning a wedding hasn't been top of their priorities," a source said. "Justin has told everyone to expect a definitive date once they agree on logistics, but it will be by the end of the year."
Renovations on their home are still not finished and this is also said to have impacted their wedding plans as they considered exchanging vows at the property.
While Jennifer would like to wed in California, Justin is considering venues in New York City - where most of his family is based - or Hawaii.
"There is still talk of them holding two ceremonies - that way they both win," added an insider. "Jennifer is determined to hold one ceremony in LA because it means her mother will hopefully be well enough to attend. Justin had wanted a small event in New York, but now he's mooting the idea of Hawaii, which is also holding things up."
