Jennifer Hudson: I'm at my ideal weight

Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson has assured her fans she has stopped losing weight.

The actress famously dropped 80lbs. by teaming up with WeightWatchers and never expected her new figure to be the source of such fascination. She is tired of people warning her off getting too thin, insisting she is perfectly happy as she is.

"I'm at the weight I want to be," she told Redbook magazine. "But I hear all the time, 'Don't lose any more weight, you need to stop.' People are under the impression that I'm still losing but I'm not."

Before she dieted Jennifer was a US size 16 and she is still coming to terms with her new body. She is delighted with her svelte figure, but occasionally forgets she is now so slim.

"I'm getting used to my new self more than anything else," she admitted. "I got used to being plus-sized and knowing how to be that, whereas this is like, 'OK, who am I?' I keep thinking that I probably need an extra-large or a large and the stylist is like, 'No, you need a medium or a small.'"

Slimming down inspired Jennifer to create a clothing line. Her creations suit women of all shapes and sizes, which was really important to her. Even better is that Jennifer has now started to realise how much she has to offer.

"I know what I like, and that's what it's all about. It's like, who's your fashion icon? Me. And no one but you knows what you feel most comfortable in," the 31-year-old said.
