Jennifer Lawrence is "really sick" from a respiratory infection right now.

The 22-year-old actress was too ill to attend the Australian Academy of Cinema Awards on Saturday.

Jennifer's Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jacki Weaver was happy to take home the Best Actress trophy to her ailing colleague.

"I'm going to receive this on her behalf," Jacki said on the podium.

"Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia."

Bruce Cohen, who produced Silver Linings Playbook, thinks Jennifer is on the mend.

He revealed to Us Weekly magazine that the star will most likely be in attendance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.

"With all her appearances, she hasn't gotten enough bed rest, but I think her plan is to be at the SAGs tomorrow," Bruce said.

"I haven't spoken to her recently."

Jennifer is nominated in the Lead Actress category at the Los Angeles event and will also present an award.

She spoke to website Extra earlier this week alongside castmates Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper and Jacki, who have also all been nominated in the cast category at the SAGs.

"Last year I was really nervous last year but this year I'm going to have fun," Jennifer admitted.

"I'm just going to drink more this year."

Trust your instincts regarding moneymaking offers. If a job seems too good to be true, it probably is. Working as part of a campaigning team will suit you down to the ground. You're more motivated to help people than turn big profits. Some friends will discourage you from entering such a field, fearing it won't be lucrative. Don't worry. You'll make a very good salary by doing what you love. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to be miserable to earn a good living.More
