Jenny McCarthy: Time to get real

Jenny McCarthy is welcoming change in her life like never before.

The 40-year-old Playboy model-turned-actress writes a column for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Jenny used the platform this week to discuss theories the world was going to end in 2012 in an article entitled Get Real.

Rather than focusing on the mass hysteria the idea prompted among some believers, she sees the event as a positive catalyst for change.

“I didn’t believe the world was going to ‘end,’ but I did believe we would be going through some sort of major shift that would help wake us up and become more enlightened than we have ever been,” Jenny wrote.

The actress said that she’s seeing plenty of proof.

The star is pleased to report friends and family have been making changes in their lives for the better.

“Now that we are well into 2013 I have to say I believe it to be true,” she continued.

“I notice people around me going through major changes in their lives. People that were unhappy are now doing something about it and getting new jobs, getting divorced, ending friendships or starting new ones. The conversations I’m having with friends are also different. It’s not possible to BS anymore and I love it.”

Jenny admitted she feels her “own shifts happening” as well.

Now that she’s accepted the positive effects of change the actress is looking forward to what’s to come.

“I welcome [those changes] now with open arms knowing its going to make the light in me that much brighter,” she reasoned.
