Jenny McCarthy: Times Square has toilet trouble
Jenny McCarthy says there are a lot of sober people bringing in the New Year in Times Square, as there are no toilets.
The blonde star will once again be co-hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest in the famous New York location.
Millions turn out for the celebration, but 42-year-old Jenny admits there is a lack of toilet facilities for the partygoers.
“I ask them about that. ‘How long have you been out here? How do you deal with the lack of bathrooms? How do you go to the bathroom?’ They tell me they just don’t go, and many of them have been out there since eight in the morning!” Jenny laughed to suntimes.com.
“That’s why we have so many sober people out there — because they can’t drink! The funny thing is - and here’s the inside scoop: there’s not many New Yorkers. It’s all tourists who come into town. It’s a ‘bucket list’ thing for many people from all around the world, on how to spend New Year’s Eve.
“Another funny thing: every year we have so many people from Norway, and Canada! They seem to be the majority of the population down there. Maybe it’s because they’re used to cold weather and can handle it!”
Jenny joined the team four years ago and loves her job bringing in the New Year.
The bubbly star married Donnie Wahlberg in August, and having her new husband by her side means Jenny will plant her first kiss of 2015 on his lips.
“I used to make my ceremonial kiss with a cop,” she admitted, adding, “Donnie will be my New Year’s Eve kiss from here on out!”
