Jeremy McConnell breaks silence after pregnancy claims
Jeremy McConnell promises to stick by "pregnant" ex Stephanie Davis, as long as she stops drinking and partying.
Jeremy McConnell has vowed to take responsibility for his actions.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star broke his silence on Twitter on Tuesday (17May16) following Stephanie Davis' claims that she's pregnant with his baby.
"Just to clear if what is circulating is true, I'll always be responsible for my actions," he wrote.
Jeremy also hit back at claims that he has been ignoring Stephanie's calls by saying that he has spoken to her.
"I explained to Steph I'll speak to her, and do everything for her, if she stops drinking and partying knowing she's 'pregnant' I'm sick of tit for tat but I won't let anyone slander me ,i haven't been ideal in the relationship what so ever (sic), I'm trying to move on peacefully."
The lengthy Twitter post continued with Jeremy admitting he didn't think the baby news would make any difference to the former couple's romantic relationship, adding: "It's a shock to most, but a kid can't fix a broken relationship."
Stephanie, 23, started a romance with Irish model Jeremy after they appeared together on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year (16). Since then their relationship has been tumultuous, with countless splits and reconciliations.
Their latest break-up occurred last week (beg09May16) but at around 10pm on Sunday night (15May16), Stephanie stunned her fans when she wrote on Instagram that she is pregnant with Jeremy's baby.
She shared a picture of a baby's feet, with a quote that read: "Life will be full of ups and downs. It will be one tough ride. But your love for your child will be the anchor that will see you through it all…"
She then commented on a picture on Jeremy's page, writing: "Yeah I loved him unconditionally, after a week of hell and late phone calls and pain he’s caused I still kept my phone on so I could help him, find out I’m pregnant and he says he doesn’t love me anymore and blocked.
"Heartbroken. Pain I can’t understand or deal with… Is what im@foinf (I'm going) through now. Utter heart break. He never wanted a smaller (family) in a broken home…
"He won’t be there only for the baby… Not me. Im@ledt (I'm left) with motoring (nothing)/empty despair and truly empty. Pain I could never describe (sic)."
The post was swiftly deleted, but not before it had been picked up by her and Jeremy's fans, who questioned whether the pregnancy was real or something Stephanie created to "court attention".
However, the Daily Mirror revealed that an insider had told them Stephanie is "100 per cent pregnant" and had had three positive pregnancy tests.
