Jessica Simpson ‘chooses baby name’

Jessica Simpson and her fiancé Eric Johnson have reportedly already chosen a name for their new baby.

The singer-and-actress and her fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting their second child together, who will be a sibling for nine-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew.

It's been widely reported the new arrival will be a boy and it's now been suggested that Jessica and Eric have already settled on a name.

"[She's] told people she's going to name the baby Ace!" an insider told Us Weekly.

It's not known why the couple have chosen the moniker for their bundle of joy, who is thought to be due in early summer.

The pair settled on their daughter's name as it had a deep meaning for them both. Maxwell is Eric's middle name and his grandma's surname, while Drew is Jessica's mom's maiden name.

Rumours the couple are expecting first surfaced in November, although they weren't confirmed until the following month.

Jessica has since been happy to discuss her pregnancy, admitting it wasn't planned.

"We've had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up. We're doing it very backwards, I know...I'll just keep my legs crossed, I guess, this time," she laughed.

"Apparently [my second pregnancy] was a part of God's plan for my life. I was extremely shocked... because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened, all over again!"

The 32-year-old star is said to be thrilled she is having a boy as she wanted a brother for Maxwell Drew. It's claimed she screamed with joy when she heard the news.
