Jessica Simpson's father Joe has denied cheating after his wife of 34 years filed for divorce.
Tina Simpson entered documents dated September 24 in McLennan County, Texas, according to RadarOnline.
The estranged couple cited "discord and conflict of personalities" as grounds for the split.
Reports surfaced Joe, a former Baptist minister known for managing the careers of daughters Jessica and Ashlee, was having an affair with a 20-year-old male.
"Joe got the family together about two months ago and came out of the closet," a source told The National Enquirer.
A representative for the family has denied the explosive claims.
"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved," the spokesperson told People magazine, continuing, "Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."
Tina and Joe became grandparents again after Jessica gave birth to daughter Maxwell in May.
News of the split follows Joe's August 4 arrest in Los Angeles for driving under the influence.
The 54-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge.
