Jessica Simpson's fiance is 'hands-on dad'

Jessica Simpson's fiancé Eric Johnson is an "amazing" father to their new baby girl.

Eric has reportedly been hands on since the couple welcomed their daughter Maxwell Drew on Tuesday. Maxwell is already a daddy's girl at just a few days old.

"Eric is amazing. He is involved with every single thing, and Maxwell adores him," a source told People.

"Whenever she cries, he picks her up and holds her in his arms, and she immediately stops crying. It's the cutest thing."

Jessica had predicted the American football star would be a good father. She thought he'd be "unbelievable" as a parent because he's a born leader.

"He is the best dad already," the insider continued.

"He is also super attentive and taking amazing care of Jess. It's incredible."

Jessica and her baby are reportedly doing well since the birth.

"Jessica is doing great and really happy," a source told Us Weekly. "She's feeling well and relieved the baby is healthy. The baby is beautiful!"

The star is said to be working on new maternity and baby ranges to add to her fashion empire.

It has been reported she will receive about $700,000 for the first baby pictures of Maxwell. She is also believed to have signed up for a multi-million dollar Weight Watchers campaign.
