Jessie J 'an odd child'

Jessie J

Jessie J admits that she was a pretty weird tyke.

The pop songstress confesses that she exhibited bizarre behaviour as a youth.

Jessie found inanimate objects to be extremely good playmates.

"I used to sit by plant pots, I don't know why," she revealed on UK TV show Chatty Man.

Jessie also had a penchant for insects as a child.

Apparently she found the cold-blooded creatures delectable.

"There is a picture of me about three with bright yellow hair covered in mud and eating ants and stuff," she recalled.

"I used to eat tiny little spiders, I don't know why. I was an odd child. On the beach everyone would be making sandcastles and I'd be making a TV. And on videos I am there in the background making whale noises."

Jessie's new biography Nice to Meet You has been released in bookstores across the UK.
