JLo excited for Idol
Jennifer Lopez couldn't be happier to be back in her American Idol judging seat.
The booty-shaking singer made the admission at a Boston press conference for the launch of season 13 of the singing contest. She has rejoined the panel following a year off in 2013.
"I love this show and I'm glad to be back. Last year I went off and toured the whole world for the first time. It wasn't the easiest thing to fit in this season of Idol, but I do love it so much... I did miss it," she said.
The return of the 44-year-old superstar comes after the show hit a ratings wall last year.
Figures were disappointing during season 12, which saw Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban preside over the wannabe singers.
Keith is undeterred though, as he's back again to keep Jennifer company.
The pair are also joined by crooner Harry Connick Jr., in his first Idol run.
"I don't think about that kind of stuff so much. I leave that worry to other people - I have enough worry of my own," Jennifer said of the ratings.
"I don't know what's going to happen. But I know we're going to have a great time."
Jennifer is certain that the new series will be a good one.
Following last year's much publicised battle of the divas, where Mariah and Nicki famously did not get along, the Jenny From The Block singer says the spotlight is back where it ought to be.
"It makes me feel good that there's good feelings about American Idol. Because the show's a great show and the focus is back where it's supposed to be.
"It's on the show and contestants, and tuning in for some great entertainment, a few laughs and that emotion that comes along with that ride and that journey," she summarised.
