Joan Rivers has voiced her opinion on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' divorce.
The outspoken host of E! Channel's Fashion Police has joked that Katie is "lucky" to be divorcing Tom Cruise, who is the highest paid actor in the world.
The acid-tongued comedienne didn't hold back on her controversial view of the A-list couple's marriage breakdown.
"Katie Holmes is going to come out of it so rich," the 79-year-old star told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O. "She's lucky".
Commenting on her Fashion Police series, Joan said: "Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes we will have a field day with that".
Joan revealed that the news Tom and Katie were splitting did not come as a shock to some celebrity insiders in the US.
"No one in the community is surprised," said Joan, who has close connections within the Hollywood circuit.
The star went on to criticise Katie's acting skills. Joan wasn't impressed with her recent small screen outing.
"She's not a very good actress," Joan stated. "Did you see her try and play John F. Kennedy's wife? She was so bad he shot himself in it!"
