Jodie Foster's wife gets restraining order against obsessed fan

Celine Martelleur has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Jodie Foster, her wife Alexandra and the actress' two sons.

Jodie Foster's partner Alexandra Hedison has obtained a restraining order against one of the actress' fans.

The photographer/actress, who married Jodie in 2014, got the order against Celine Martelleur after she allegedly turned up at the couple's home in Beverly Hills and also in Toronto, Canada when the Panic Room actress was filming there.

According to Alexandra's documents, obtained by TMZ.com, she called the police on 9 December (16) after Martelleur buzzed the security gate at their home while she was in. When Alexandra answered the intercom, the fan reportedly said, "you should know who it is." Police officers reportedly didn't arrest her because there was no protective order in place.

Jodie's wife also said Martelleur regularly professed her love for the actress in emails, including one which read: "I am still in Toronto until next month. I am around avoiding cops. Jodie is in my thoughts every minute."

The order forces Martelleur to stay 100 yards away from her, Jodie and her two sons Charlie and Kit.

This isn't Jodie's first run-in with stalkers. John Hinckley, Jr. was released from a mental hospital after 35 years earlier this year (16). He was sent to the institution after he was found not guilty by reason of insanity for his attempted assassination of then-U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Reagan was left with bullet wounds to the chest and arm and three others were also injured, including the leader's press secretary James Brady, who has been paralysed ever since.

His motivation for the attack was reportedly to impress Jodie, who had been obsessed with since seeing her in 1976 film Taxi Driver. Hinckley, Jr. had stalked the then actress and bombarded her with letters and calls in 1980 when she was studying at Yale University in Connecticut.
