John Mayer responds to Katy Perry's love ranking
John Mayer tells Rolling Stones magazine what he thought of being revealed as Katy Perry's best lover.
John Mayer has responded to the news that Katy Perry ranked him as her top lover in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
The pop star revealed the Gravity singer took the top slot during a chat on her Big Brother style YouTube live stream to celebrate the release of her album, Witness.
Celebrity guest, James Corden had posed the cheeky question tempting her to reveal who was the best to worst in bed out of her three exes which include singer John, producer Diplo, and actor Orlando Bloom.
The Firework singer, was hesitant to reveal anything before she was coerced by James into spilling the beans and ranked John as the best lover, followed by Orlando and Diplo.
“I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you," John vaguely told Rolling Stone magazine, when he was quizzed about her confession. "I’ve hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most.
"I’m having the time of my life. I’m 39 - I remember 32. I don’t wanna do it again.”
The couple had dated on and off for three years before they finally split in 2015.
John is not the first to comment on Katy's indiscreet confession. "I don't even remember having sex," quipped musician Diplo earlier this month (Jun17). "I won the bronze medal in sex Olympics," joked the producer who briefly dated Katy in 2014.
Katy also confessed Josh Groban, was the one who got away after they were rumoured to have dated in 2009.
The singer touched on the relationship in a 2013 interview with Details magazine, revealing he and Katy are "very good friends" who "might have skated on the line of dating", although things never quite turned romantic.
