John Stamos: 'I've found happiness'
John Stamos is living life to the full now he's clean.
John Stamos has found "authentic happiness" since leaving rehab.
In June last year (15), the Full House star was charged with driving under the influence. He entered a rehab facility the following month (July15) and was treated for his addiction issues.
Now the star is clean and living his life to the full.
"It's great. I'm clear, I'm happy, I'm even," he smiled to etonline.com. "You know, during times like this, it's authentic happiness. It's earned, and it feels great."
One of the best things about overcoming his demons is how present he now is. John feels clearer than ever and can give everything his full attention.
"At the end of the day, you can go to bed and go, 'I was there all day for all of it' - and that's a good thing," he celebrated.
John has lots to look forward to, as Full House spin-off Fuller House launches on Netflix in February (16). It sees him reunite with many of his old cast mates, including Jodie Sweetin whose own addictions, including to crystal meth, have been well documented. In March she'll celebrate five years of sobriety and she's also touring colleges as a spokesperson.
"I speak about my experience growing up in the entertainment business, what my life was like after, some of the struggles and things I went through and where my life is today," she opened up to People. "It's a story with a message of second chances and turning things around and being able to overcome some adversity."
While John and Jodie are happy to reprise their roles as Jesse and Stephanie respectively, Full House stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen won't be returning for the reboot. The twins have put acting on the back burner, establishing a career as fashion designers instead.
“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," executive producer Robert L. Boyett noted in a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter.
