Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has put a fan in touch with Justin Bieber in the hope he’ll take her to homecoming dance.

The San Andreas actor likes to keep his supporters up to date on his interactions with fans. And after spending time with a girl called Lexi at his gym, he’s decided to do his best to make one of her dreams come true.

“I said 'Hey Lexi' from across the gym and she came running over and said 'you came back for me!!!'” he wrote on Instagram. “Her mom just shared a story that touched my heart.. she said every time Lexi has to go to the hospital for a treatment she always says 'I gotta be strong cause the Rock told me to be strong!' (sic)”

He continued to tell his followers that Lexi takes the photograph of them together with her into hospital whenever she goes for treatment for an undisclosed condition. Her story gave the 43-year-old perspective on his life.

“Hey, look I got some pretty cool things going on in my life.. I believe in hard work and little luck to get ya by.. but moments like this with Lexi will always be the best part of my fame,” he continued. “We all play a part in it ya know? And I appreciate I can share it with y'all. #Perspective #SheToldMeSheLovesMe #AndJustinBieber #HelluvaComboIGuess #BestPartOfFame. (sic)”

Lexi told Dwayne in a video that he posted on the site that he and Justin Bieber were her date choices for her homecoming dance, where she’ll be Homecoming Queen.

But when Dwayne asked Lexi who her favourite would be, she chose the Baby singer, much to the movie star’s disappointment.

“Damn you Bieber! #SheClearlyDidntGetTheMemo #PricelessMoment. (sic)” he wrote.

Justin was quick to respond, telling Dwayne and Lexi to get in touch with his manager Scooter Braun. "When is the dance? Hit scooter and let us know.” He replied. “And no worries. You are her second favorite ;) (sic)”
