Jolie: My kids want tattoos
Angelina Jolie hopes her offspring will “be inspired” to become writers, politicians or activists when they are older.
The Unbroken director and Oscar winning actress has six children with husband Brad Pitt. They range in age from 13 years old to six but according to the star, they are starting to ask tricky questions.
“My kids rebelling would be if they all became brain surgeons. They're already asking me about tattoos. How do I say no?” she told the Radio Times. “It's especially hard for dads and girls. For some reason men get a little more sensitive when the daughter gets a tattoo. And Brad thinks the girls can do no wrong. He's mush in their hands!”
The 39-year-old has around 17 pieces of body art adorning her body, including a large tiger on her lower back and the co-ordinates of her children’s birthplaces on her arm. Fury star Brad also has multiple inkings, believed to be totaling 12, including on his stomach and inner left forearm.
While the children want to follow in their parent’s footsteps when it comes to tattoos, Angelina admitted that if they also want an acting career, they will have to get a “real job” too.
“But I'm hoping that when they see all the other things in the world, they'll be inspired to be writers, politicians, activists,” she said. “They're very individual people. So I imagine they're not going to follow their mum and dad.”
50-year-old Brad isn’t just reluctant for his offspring to get inked, just as Angelina also revealed this week that he also isn’t keen on her developing her culinary skills.
“Now that I'm officially a wife, I said to Brad that I was going to try to learn to cook properly,” she told the Today show. “He said, ‘Don't bother.’ He's tasted my cooking!”
