Jon Favreau: Meatballs make me happy
Jon Favreau would like to chow down on a dish made by his grandmother for his last ever meal.
The Hollywood star has been giving cinema goers a gourmet spectacle with new film Chef, which he wrote, directed and stars in.
When quizzed on his own food habits, Jon didn't have to think twice about what he'd like to gorge on for his last meal. He obviously grew up surrounded by good food, as that's what he'd be craving if he could choose his last supper.
"Wow, that's a tough one," he laughed to British magazine Now when they posed the question of last meal request. "I think my grandma's meatballs. She's been gone for quite some time, so that's a meal I haven't had in a while. I think it's the food you grow up with that you desire the most."
He also revealed that one of his A-list pals, which include Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Dustin Hoffman, is a far superior chef than the others.
"Gwyneth Paltrow had a screening of Chef at her house and she made this very simple Thai salmon dish that she cooked on a cedar plank. She's quite the cook!" he gushed.
Jon cited a pig's liver slider as the worst meal he's ever had and says he enjoys wife Joya Tillem's culinary skills, although it's been some time since she last donned an apron.
"On one of our first dates, my wife cooked me a chicken stir-fry that was wonderful. It's very memorable as it was the last time she ever cooked for me and we've been married for 13 years!" he laughed.
