Jon Hamm believes that "the boundaries have been blurred" when it comes to celebrity relationships.
Hamm and girlfriend, actress Jennifer Westfeldt, have been together for 15 years. The Mad Men star claims there is no secret to his relationship success.
"Any relationship is challenging when you're under the microscope we've put ourselves under. It's your personal life and it remains personal," Hamm confessed to latest edition of InStyle magazine.
"I think the boundaries have been blurred."
Hamm believes his relationship has lasted because he has kept it out of the public eye. The actors' relationship with Westfeldt has faced its share of ups and down. Through it all Hamm stands by his decision to keep his relationship private.
The actor had a late start to fame, only getting his big break at 36. Although he had found success in Mad Men, it was 2011's movie Bridesmaids which helped him crack Hollywood. He feels that late stardom has helped him to appreciate his celebrity status and that finding fame at too young of an age can often be dangerous.
"The road to celebrity is littered with people who got too much too soon and weren't equipped to handle it," Hamm explained.
