Jonathan Cheban appreciates support after CBB exit
Kim Kardashian's friend Jonathan Cheban is grateful to those supporting him after he quit Celebrity Big Brother when he came to "the end of the rope".
Reality star Jonathan Cheban has thanked fans for their support after his surprise exit from Celebrity Big Brother.
The American TV personality left the camera-filled house on Monday (11Jan16), just a week after entering, and he was spotted wandering around London afterwards. Loyal followers were quick to send a flurry of messages to him on Twitter, with many citing him as their favourite contestant in the house, which means a lot to Jonathan.
"Aww thank you so much. Truly appreciate thousands of these messages," he replied to one user, who explained seeing him on Celebrity Big Brother made every day a "little brighter" for them.
"Thank you guys for your support and the thousands and thousands of messages supporting me in Celebrity Big Brother! I love you so much #CBB" he wrote on Monday (11Jan16).
Jonathan left the show because he "came to the end of the rope" in the house and no one was laughing at his jokes any more. He also felt claustrophobic and felt he had run out of things to do with his housemates.
One celebrity who was slightly preoccupied during his exit was ex-Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis, who has grown close to Jeremy McConnell since entering the house. However, the actress' boyfriend Sam Reece appears to have had enough of his other half's behaviour as he took to Twitter on Monday (11Jan16) to tell followers he was "no longer supporting" Stephanie, seemingly dumping her.
A contestant who seems to have left his reckless ways behind is TV star and singer Darren Day. His wife Stephanie Dooley has spoken to Britain's OK! magazine about how her spouse - once known as a womaniser and hard partier - has changed. After a brief split when Darren relapsed in 2008, the couple is now stronger than ever.
"I know he’d never go back to the life he had," Stephanie explained. "He sometimes has nightmares about it where he thinks he’s back where he was 12 years ago. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it really disturbs him."
All contestants managed to put their personal issues and differences aside to comfort Angie Bowie following the sad news that her ex-husband, music icon David Bowie, passed away on Sunday (10Jan16) from cancer. However she made the brave decision to stay in the house as she mourned in the diary room.
"I haven't seen him in so many years I can't make a big drama about it... but I feel an era has ended, it's so very sad," she sobbed.
