Jones reveals plans for film script

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones has revealed more plans for a film he has written

Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones has revealed more plans for a film he has written.

It is hoped the film will go into production next year.

Speaking before playing at V Festival in Staffordshire, Jones said: "I wrote the script called Graffiti On The Train at the same time as I did the album, so I was developing that for about a year with a few people who work at Bafta.

"Now there are some producers reading it, so it's a very slow process, but hopefully we can start putting that together next year once the world tour stops."

Jones said he was currently trying to get finance for the film as well as sourcing the right producer for the project.

"It's about two guys who leave a small town after an incident and they try to travel across Europe and then get stuck in Paris, so it's kind of a cross between Stand By Me and Quadrophenia."

He revealed the band would be releasing more songs next autumn.

"We've got plenty more ambitions.

"Each time we make a record, we try to do something different from before, go to the places we haven't played before, so there's always something new to do."
