Josh Hutcherson: I'll miss Ross
Josh Hutcherson says The Hunger Games director Gary Ross was "his guy" on set, which is why he'll "miss" him.
The actor stars as Peeta Mellark in the record breaking action movie. It was recently revealed that filmmaker Gary will not be returning to helm the sequel, Catching Fire.
Josh can't imagine returning to set without Gary.
"I'm going to miss Gary Ross - he was my guy on that movie," he told Access Hollywood. "You know, I think he really brought a lot to the movie."
Francis Lawrence has reportedly been offered the job of director for the next movie in the science-fiction franchise.
Josh has every faith in Gary's successor.
"They're talking about making a deal with Francis Lawrence - he's fantastic," he gushed. "I think he's a very talented director."
Josh was recently recognised by GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) for his work promoting equal rights. He recently spoke out about his two gay uncles who died of AIDS.
The 19-year-old was "blown away" by the honour.
"I was shocked it means a lot," he said.
"Equal rights for people has been a huge passion of mine since before I was even born, in my opinion, so to have people come out here and support me and this whole cause is fantastic."
