Jungle queen Stacey goes to Iceland

Stacey Solomon has been unveiled as the new face of Iceland.

The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winner, who rose to fame when she got to the final of the 2009 X Factor, will appear in the supermarket chain's advertising campaign later this year.

She said: "I'm really excited to be working with Iceland. I still can't believe it. And I have always been such a big fan so it feels perfect. Wahoo!

"I can't wait to get started and shoot the ads."

Other stars who have appeared in advertisements for Iceland include Jason Donovan and Kerry Katona, who was dropped in 2009 following allegations that she took cocaine.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, who has endured a long and public battle with alcohol and drugs, as well as a rollercoaster romantic life, fronted the campaigns for four years.

Nick Canning, executive director at Iceland Foods, said Stacey, who was crowned Queen of the Jungle in the ITV1 reality show last year, would be a "great ambassador" for the stores.

He said: "Stacey is a genuine Iceland customer and is someone we know our customers already love. She's mum to Zach first and foremost but without question is also a glamorous celebrity who people can't wait to know more about."
