Justin Bieber has joked he wakes up with hair that looks "like a peacock".
The 18-year-old singer has amassed an army of teenage fans all over the world.
Earlier today, the star gave his adoring followers a glimpse at his bed head, quipping he doesn't look his best first thing in the morning.
"Haha good morning hair. I look like a peacock (sic)," he posted along with a picture.
In the snap, Justin peers blearily at the camera, clad in a black vest and with his hair sticking up in haphazard spikes.
Whereas the Beauty and a Beat singer can clearly laugh at himself, he's not quite as amused when others poke fun at him.
Earlier this month James Franco and his Spring Breakers co-star Ashley Benson filmed a parody of the young star's Boyfriend music video.
However, James has now apologised and assured it was all done in good humour.
"I was asked to take it down by some people. Bieber didn't contact me, but I don't think he was too happy," he explained to E! Online.
"I wasn't trying to diss him."
The teenage heartthrob is currently gearing up to release an acoustic version of his Boyfriend album.
Justin seems to be working hard on the music, which will be out in nine days.
"Writing my heart out," he tweeted. "some of the most honest music i have ever written. #9days #Countdown #BelieveAcoustic - thanks (sic)."
Over the weekend, Justin also took to the social networking site to post a cheeky picture. In the photo, the prankster pulled down his pants to reveal his bare backside. He later removed the snap.
It's thought Justin's new songs will touch on his split from Selena Gomez.
Although the stars haven't directly discussed the breakdown of their two-year relationship, the 20-year-old brunette admitted she's been having a tough time recently.
"I've been through a lot the past few months. It's been weird and sad and cool," she opened up at a concert over the weekend.
Selena also revealed that 23-year-old Taylor Swift and 24-year-old Vanessa Hudgens have been offering her a shoulder to cry on.
"It's helped having Taylor and Vanessa both be older than me," she explained.
"They've kind of experienced a little bit more, and at the same time we're experiencing the exact same things together."
