Justin Bieber reportedly believes that infamous American boxer Floyd Mayweather is a harmless guy.
The Boyfriend singer accompanied Floyd along with rapper 50 Cent as the boxer entered the ring to battle Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas Saturday night.
Floyd will begin serving time for a domestic abuse charge very soon.
Sources tell TMZ that Justin is convinced the athlete is largely "misunderstood" and that he looks to Floyd as a "mentor."
Justin is impressed with the world champion's "greatness" and believes Floyd is a "hard-working and clean-cut guy."
Apparently the pair have established a close personal relationship with one another.
Floyd is thought to have asked Justin to join him at his fight with Miguel four months ago. The singer, a huge boxing fan, is said to have eagerly accepted the invitation.
Floyd will commence his 90-day stint in jail beginning June 1.
Justin is preparing to release his third studio album Believe on June 19.
