Kanye West: I'm underwhelmed

Kanye West is "really underwhelmed in general".

The rapper struggles to be enthusiastic about most things in his life. He rarely finds excitement in normal day-to-day things. Kanye's attitude to the banal nature of life is what spurred him to do his next musical project.

"I'm not interested in things unless they hit me in a certain place in my heart. I get bored really easily. I'm really underwhelmed in general," Kanye explained on a promotional video for his latest G.O.O.D track Cruel Summer on YouTube. "I'm always looking for some excitement and I want music to be this outlet."

Kanye explained how music is the only thing he gets really passionate about. He finds it a source of frustration when he hears other artists release material he wishes he had thought of first.

"I, like, get mad at music when it's so good..." Kanye explained. "I think oh sh*t why didn't we think of that? Why didn't we do that?!"

Despite his strong feelings towards the music he creates, Kanye has less high hopes for the effects his tunes have on listeners. The hip-hop legend just hopes he can create an album that helps people deal with the everyday and mundane necessities of existence.

"We wanna create music you listen to on the way to work so you can deal with your boss," Kanye continued. "We wanna make music so if you are the boss you can listen to it and deal with your employees!"
