Kardashian stepmother countersuing
Kim Kardashian’s stepmother has filed a countersuit against the reality family after they sued her in April.
Ellen Pearson believes the Kardashian brood sued her in order to keep their E! network viewers tuned into Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The widow of Kim’s late father Robert Kardashian makes the accusations in new paperwork filed as part of an on-going court battle.
The defendant is asking for her 17-page motion to be heard in court August 12, reports Deadline.
Kris Jenner’s children with late attorney Robert Kardashian, Sr., including Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Rob, asked for over $500,000 in damages on April 4.
Apparently they were incensed that Ellen decided to share writing from their father’s personal journal with the public.
Ellen attempts to validate her claims by calling attention to the second episode of season eight of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which is entitled Enough is Enough.
“Robert’s diaries and notes exposed Kris as a manipulative and devious mother and ex-wife who simply used and exploited her children and family,” the fresh documents on behalf of Ellen states. “The Kardashians carefully developed the Episode as a ‘spin’ to neutralise the exceptionally negative opinion that Robert had of Kris.
“The Kardashians’ strategy was to neutralise the unrefuted details in Robert’s diaries and notes by suggesting that they were in fact both Robert’s words—but were fabricated by Ellen.”
Apparently paperwork submitted on July 3 revealed Ellen’s legal representatives intend to “bring a Third-Party claim against Ryan Seacrest and Ryan Seacrest Productions” which is behind the programme.
Radar Online additionally reports that the famous family tried to trick her by hiring a private investigator.
Apparently PI who is thought to be named James Schmidt has sent a “mysterious series” of text messages to her starting March 4.
