Kat Von D and DJ Deadmau5 have split.
The celebrity tattoo artist and Deadmau5 had confirmed they were a couple in mid-September.
The relationship heated up fast with Kat even giving the music producer a star tattoo below his eye to match her own that same month.
She announced the break-up Saturday on Twitter.
"Man, Can't say I didn't give it my best," Kat wrote, adding, "I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned."
Kat, 30, made reference to critics warning her about getting involved with the 31-year-old DJ.
She said she was now ready to "move on".
Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, meanwhile took to his Facebook page to address the break-up.
"Going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. i guess im not cut out for relationships right now," he wrote (sic).
It appears the split is an amicable one.
The electronic musician said he had "no hard feelings" toward his ex.
The relationship was Kat's first since parting ways with Sandra Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James. Following two break-ups with Jesse in 2011 and rumours that he had cheated on her, Kat became celibate before dating the DJ.
