Kate: babies on the brain, not awards
Kate Winslet says her mind is preoccupied with her pregnancy, and not awards.
The 38-year-old actress was in London tonight for the premier of her new movie Labor Day.
She has previously scooped an Oscar for her portrayal of a Nazi war criminal in the 2008 film The Reader.
"It hasn't even crossed my mind, I'm so absorbed in baby. Awards season is always a huge amount of fun whether you're a part of it or not.
“It's always really exciting seeing what films are coming and a lot of new talent as well. I think this year is a really exciting year for film," she told Sky News.
Labor Day tells the story of depressed single mom Adele (played by Kate) and her son Henry after they offer a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited.
Co-starring Josh Brolin and Tobey Maguire, the film has already been well received by critics.
Kate’s third child will be the Revolutionary Road star’s first with her husband Ned Rocknroll, the nephew of Sir Richard Branson.
She has two children from her two former marriages, 12-year-old Mia from her marriage to Jim Threapleton, and Joe, nine from her marriage to Sam Mendes.
