Kate Bosworth's peachy glow explained
Kate Bosworth's make-up artist Lisa Storey loved how the star's peachy complexion complimented a dress she wore to a recent screening.
Kate is known for her stylish wardrobe choices, and mixes laidback glamour with red carpet statement pieces whenever she steps out. For a screening of her new TV show The Art of More, Kate wowed in a colourful creation by Peter Pilotto. The dress had intricate lace detailing in blues, oranges and pinks, which worked well with the white one-sleeved gown.
"The dress, which was so gorgeous," Lisa told People magazine about what inspired her make-up look for Kate. "Her fresh, peachy glow picked up on the orange stripe, which I loved.
"I applied (the blush) on the apples of her cheeks, and I always do a little bit of what's left on the brush below the brows to make the whole face glow."
The cosmetics guru sums up the look as "dewy, vibrant and peachy", and says the blonde actress gets her glowing complexion by using Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift.
"(It) gives an immediate glow and holds in moisture," Lisa smiled, before pondering what her favourite feature to play up on Kate is. "That's a hard one! I really enjoy doing her skin. It's fun to make it look like she has no makeup on—she's radiant."
For the event Kate rocked a braid, that started at a deep side part before following her hairline behind the ear to the nape of her neck. Her beachy waved added a boho coolness to the finished look.
"Her hair was wavy from doing press earlier in the day, and we liked it, but we thought we should do something different for this event," hair stylist Bridget Brager revealed. "We decided on a braid, and I just started playing with the placement.
"I used a beach spray and gave her hair a rough blow-dry to create body and volume, as every girl with fine hair should do. Then I curled large sections with a 1in. iron.”
