Kate Winslet 'making baby plans'
Kate Winslet is reportedly hoping to get pregnant by the end of the year.
The Oscar-winning actress secretly tied the knot with Ned Rocknroll in December last year, before announcing it shortly afterwards. Kate has two children from previous relationships and it has been claimed she would love to add to her brood by having a baby with Ned.
“Kate knows how much Ned wants to be a father,” a source told America’s Star magazine. “She thinks they would have the most adorable kid together, so they’re planning on getting pregnant by the end of the year. Having a child together is her absolute priority.”
The 37-year-old star already has 12-year-old daughter Mia with ex-husband Jim Threapleton and son Joe, nine, with former spouse Sam Mendes.
Kate and Ned – the nephew of businessman Sir Richard Branson – are believed to have set up home in a beautiful cottage in the English county of Sussex.
The pair tied the knot in a low-key private ceremony in New York in late 2012 which was attended by Kate’s two kids and “a very few friends and family”.
Kate loves her role as a mother and in an interview last year she revealed she was feeling happier than ever with her personal and professional life.
“I’ve never felt better. I’m very happy with the work I’ve been doing and I’m enjoying my time with my children, who mean the world to me,” she smiled.
The star has also previously spoken about her desire to give her children a “simple” and “normal” upbringing.
