Kate Winslet sets up marital home in UK

Ned RocknRoll and Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet and new husband Ned RocknRoll have decided to start married life in a quaint UK property, it has been reported.

The newlywed couple, who tied the knot in a surprise ceremony earlier this month, is said to have chosen a beautiful cottage in the English county of Sussex as their marital home.

It is unclear whether the house is the same accommodation they have been sharing since earlier this year.

"Reports have emerged the pair have snapped up a Sussex country property which oozes quaint English charm and has plenty of bedrooms for the pair to invite their extended family to stay," reports British newspaper The Daily Mail.

According to reports, Kate and Ned have been living in the beautiful white cottage for "a few weeks" and have been spotted taking trips to the shops and the local church.

The couple's countryside home is yet another sign of their appreciation for rural life, which was clearly reflected in their secret wedding celebrations.

According to sources, the A-List actress and her beau wed in a romantic barn ceremony surrounded by wild flowers in glass jars and coloured lanterns.

Their Catskill Mountain nuptials were described as "brief and simple", with a spokesperson confirming they were attended by only "her two children and a very few friends and family."
