Katherine Heigl: Cocktails help stress

Katherine Heigl says cocktails and jogging help her cope with stress.

The actress admits she can be over anxious at times. Whenever Katherine is feeling stressed out, her musician spouse Josh Kelley advises her to hit the gym or else she has a drink.

"My problem is that I can't enjoy the moment because I can't foresee what will happen next, she told German TV station Tele 5. "When I was full of fear my husband gave me the advice to go jogging. Afterwards I was just too tired to worry anymore.

"What helps as well is a good stiff cocktail."

The 33-year-old star has played a series of characters who are uptight and ultra-organised, in movies such as 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth.

Katherine has confessed that she finds it easy to identify with these types of roles, because she likes to take control of situations. However, she is learning to relax and tackle whatever life throws at her.

"I am a control freak. I have to learn to be less neurotic," she laughed. "Especially when life is really great I get scared that something horrible could happen. I tend to freak out about all kinds of things."
