Katy Perry apologises to Ryan Phillippe after dating rumours cause havoc
Ryan Phillippe recently complained that helicopters were constantly flying over his house following the claims that he and the Roar singer were dating.
Katy Perry has hilariously apologised to Ryan Phillippe for the furore caused by rumours the pair were dating.
It was reported in March (17) the I Know What You Did Last Summer actor and the singer were "totally flirting" at Elton John's 70th birthday bash in Los Angeles. But on Monday (10Apr17), Ryan put an end to the rumours by writing on Twitter: "I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE. thx (thanks)."
Katy then took to her own Twitter page to respond to Ryan's remark, writing: "Hi, nice to meet you, sorry bout that @RyanPhillippe carry on, lol (laugh out loud)."
Following Ryan's tweet, one fan joked his message is what "someone who has Katy Perry in a basement would say" to which Ryan humorously responded by tweeting, "shhhh."
Katy also referenced this when she asked Ryan: "Can u let me out of this basement pls? (sic)"
The Chained to the Rhythm star's Twitter activity came just hours after she hit headlines with another new look, after cutting her blonde hair into an even shorter pixie crop.
Katy debuted her new look in a picture posted on her Instagram page, which showed her posing for a selfie in front of a rack of clothes, and partially covering her hair with her jacket hood. What can be seen of her locks, however, show an almost buzzed finish, suggesting she has decided to go even shorter with her look.
Katy captioned the picture: "Fifth element flow."
Katy has been trying out a variety of new looks over the past few months, such as going from brunette to platinum blonde in January (17) and cutting her shoulder-length bob cut into a pixie crop on 2 March (17).
