Katy Perry heals hearts

Katy Perry

Katy Perry reportedly uses her spiritual side to help friends through their relationship problems.

The singer has been a shoulder for many stars to lean on, famously helping Robert Pattinson get over his public split from Kristen Stewart earlier this year.

She also invited Khloé Kardashian to take a vacation with her this summer. The reality TV star is going through a tough time following allegations her husband Lamar Odom has been unfaithful and is battling drug addiction.

"Katy is very spiritual. She's a great listener and is very optimistic about life. She's done the horrible public break-up, has been slated by her ex and knows what it feels like - that horrible sense of loss and loneliness - and she'll drop anything to help her friends get over their heartache," an insider told British magazine Look.

Katy split from her husband Russell Brand in 2011, just over a year after they tied the knot. This year she revealed Russell broke up with her via text message and she struggled to cope with the split for some time.

She is now in a committed relationship with musician John Mayer and wants all her friends to feel as settled.

"Katy's so happy with John, and they're talking marriage all the time. She remembers how supportive her friends were when she was feeling really low after her divorce from Russell [Brand]. She just wants everyone to be as happy as her and John and if she can help them out, it's perfect," the source explained.
