Katy Perry has reportedly lost all faith in men.
The American singer is divorced from British comedian Russell Brand after a 14-month marriage. Since then she has been linked to Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd and more recently John Mayer.
Her romance with John seems to be on-and-off, which Katy is reportedly finding hard.
"She's putting on a brave face but she's fed up - she has no faith in men anymore," an insider told Closer magazine.
Katy is understood to have called time on her romance with John as she was worried he couldn't commit.
"She's saying men always let her down," the source admitted. "The split has hit her hard, but she'll pick herself up again - she's a strong character."
Katy and John have been spotted out and about together several times recently so it is speculated that the pair are continuing their relationship. They enjoyed an intimate late lunch to celebrate his 35th birthday this week.
He is a known lothario, having dated stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson in the past.
