Katy Perry has revealed the unpleasant side effects of eating her favourite British food - baked beans on toast.
The Firework singer has just arrived in the country with her California Dreams Tour and has been enjoying tucking into all her favourite local nosh.
Katy is quoted by The Sun as saying: "I love coming to London so I can have baked beans on toast. They do bloat me and I'm afraid I'm going to go off like a firework, but I do love them."
The 26-year-old singer - who played the guitar as she gave an acoustic performance of The One That Got Away on The X Factor on Sunday - reportedly spent the first half of her concert at the O2 gig on Saturday night rubbing her belly.
But rather than blaming the beans, she joked she was pregnant to parody Beyonce's MTV Video Music Awards performance.
Katy, who married British comedian Russell Brand last year, has previously said baked beans are misunderstood in America.
When she arrived in the UK for her tour last week she couldn't wait to wolf down a pie with gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
She tweeted: "FINALLY! Beloved ENGLAND! 1st thing I did was stuff me gob (my mouth) w/some yorkshire puddings & meat pies from Silversmiths in Sheffield. Ah bless..."
She later added: "Yes, proper beans on toast... I've missed you."
