Kazinsky: I'm a 'marriage breaker'

Robert Kazinsky has joked he's a 'serial marriage breaker' on TV

Robert Kazinsky has joked he's a serial marriage breaker, after his characters split up two long-term couples on hit US TV shows.

The British actor played Dr Rick Appleton in Brothers And Sisters who split up Justin Walker and his girlfriend Annie, played by Dave Annable and Odette Yustman.

Now Rob's character in True Blood, Warlow, is responsible for coming between vampire lovers Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton, played by real-life husband and wife Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.

Rob laughed: "I just realised recently that when I joined Brothers And Sisters I was joining a show where there was already an established couple that I was going to interrupt, in Dave Annable and Odette Yustman. And here I am joining another established show, and my character has to interrupt a couple played by Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin - I seem to be like the marriage breaker here."

But he added: "They made me feel very welcome. Steve took me aside on the very first day, walked me around, made me feel really comfortable. He was very supportive of any scenes I had to do with Anna. He was very secure."

Rob also had his first gay love scene on screen with Ryan Kwanten, who plays Sookie's brother Jason.

The actor revealed: "Ryan made me feel very comfortable. It's not the first gay scene I've had to do, I did do one in the theatre when I was training, but it was the first I've ever done on screen.

"And it was the most fun I think I've ever had in my entire life! We just laughed, and laughed, and it was so awkward and weird.

"Because we didn't even kiss, we had to get close to kissing, and that was hilarious. We had all the cast laughing, all the crew. And getting through that, everything else was easy."

:: True Blood season six is on Fox at 10pm on Mondays.

Virgo:

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
