Keegan: Friends come before romance

Michelle Keegan says she is too busy for romance

Michelle Keegan has revealed she's too busy working to find a new flame.

The Coronation Street star - who was crowned Best Soap Actress at the TVChoice Awards - recently split from The Wanted's Max George amid rumours he had been exchanging saucy texts with an ex-girlfriend.

When asked if she was looking for love again, Michelle said: "No, not yet. I'm too busy. I don't even see my friends yet, I need to see my friends first."

And the actress said she didn't let headlines about her private life bother her.

"I've learned to deal with it now. I don't even read any of it any more because half the time it isn't true, and that's how I've got to think of it. And luckily at the moment I'm so busy with work that I don't get to see the press anyway, so people tell me a story that was out two weeks ago and I go, 'Really? I don't even care now'."

Michelle was left "gobsmacked" when she picked up the gong at the star-studded TVChoice bash in a figure-hugging white leather dress.

She admitted she would like her character, Tina McIntyre, to find lasting love with beau Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain).

"The thing is she's finally got someone who she loves, they had about a week of happiness, then they've had ups and downs non-stop.

"I genuinely feel sorry for her. I hope the debts get cleared and she can live with Tommy happily ever after, but I genuinely don't think that's going to happen because it's Corrie."

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
