Keira Knightley wants time out

Keira Knightley is prepared to cut back on making films so she can see James Righton more.

The Edge of Love star married James Righton last year and has worked hard to juggle her private life with her movie career.

She's now thinking about taking a step back so she can see more of her musician beau.

"I'm trying to readjust my life/work balance in favour of more life and less work," she admitted to the British edition of OK! magazine.

"At first, you become successful and want to take every opportunity, but then you realise the whole thing is very little life and a whole lot of work. I think there's always a point in life when you think, 'I want to spend more time with the people I love.'"

Keira, 28, appears in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit alongside Chris Pine.

Despite loving being a part of the film, she plans to have a little rest before moving on to the next project.

"I worked virtually non-stop for five or six years and that began to wear me down. I don't want to live that way anymore so now I prefer to do two films a year," she explained.

"Of course I love acting so I don't want to have too much time between films, but I feel much more rested and relaxed now than I did a few years ago."

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is an action thriller about a CIA spy who works to protect the US from a terrorist attack.

In real life, Keira isn't sure she would be as savvy as her character, Cathy Muller.

"No, I'd be a terrible spy," she laughed.

"Secrets would just come straight out of my mouth. It's very fortunate that I'm not one."
