Kelly Clarkson and beau 'voting different'

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson "doesn't hate" her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock for voting differently.

The Catch My Breath singer cast her ballot for President Barack Obama during this year's presidential race.

Kelly respects Brandon's choice and honours disparate perspectives.

"My boyfriend and I are totally voting for different presidential [candidates]. We're cancelling each other out," she explained to MTV News.

"I don't hate him for that, and he doesn't hate me. I'm voting for Barack [Obama] because I love Barack. There have been some things that I'm kind of 'ugh' on, but for the most part, I'm an Obama girl. I voted for him last time. And [my boyfriend] votes for Mitt [Romney] for his reasons. You just have to have a respectful environment in order to tolerate other people's reasons for why they believe the way they believe. We're a country [in which] you can do that, so yay for us. I love that we live here."

The couple viewed one of the presidential debates together.

Kelly enjoys engaging in discussion with diverse viewpoints.

"We'd go back and forth," she said.

"It's just funny, because usually couples like us would vote for the same person, but we're totally cancelling each other out."

Libra:

Sorting out and organising your surroundings should be your first priority. As a general rule, you don't mind an untidy workspace. As far as you're concerned, messiness is a sign of genius. There comes a point when even the most talented person has to make order from chaos. It may take a few hours to sort through all the papers that have accumulated, but take heart. Once you dispose the junk, you'll be able to zip through chores like a hot knife through butter.More
