Kelly Clarkson: Daughter must hate my music!
Kelly Clarkson's baby girl River is "weird" as she loves falling asleep to loud music.
The 32-year-old singer and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed little girl River last June and the couple are loving every second of parenthood. During her pregnancy Kelly recorded her upcoming album Piece by Piece, which meant a lot of time in the studio with her baby bump.
And as she belted out her songs, the star admits she feared River would end up not liking her material.
"I kind of had to take longer off because I had such a horrible pregnancy, I was like hospitalised and it was just a bad pregnancy. So I kind of had to take off way more time than normal. I got real bored. My husband was like, 'Oh God, you need to do something,'" she laughed to the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
"Well, I made the album while being pregnant, there's only one song that was cut while I wasn't pregnant, so... I thought my little girl was gonna come out just being like, 'Shut up!' 'Cause all my songs are like huge, big range songs and she was probably like hating it."
But it turns out River is a massive fan of her mom's music, as Kelly revealed last week when she posted a cute video on her Instagram of her daughter listening to a sneak peak of her single Heartbeat Song and smiling. And taking her baby on the road is no problem for the songstress, as volume doesn't seem to bother the little one.
"She's so weird man, she loves music to go to sleep to, like loud music," Kelly explained. "She's the perfect tour baby; she'll go to rehearsals and when we're all playing she loves it and she can fall asleep and then right when the music stops she starts crying. I really want her to be a doctor or something, but that's alright."
Kelly is so smitten with motherhood that she even shared her desire to have another child, but joked her husband is currently "running" from her when the topic arises.
