Kelly Osbourne: I’ll never forget Joan
Kelly Osbourne is completely heartbroken over the death of her Fashion Police co-host, Joan Rivers.
The 81-year-old comedienne died on Thursday after being hospitalised last week following a cardiac arrest during an operation.
Kelly co-hosted E! TV show Fashion Police with Joan, and the 29-year-old star is absolutely devastated by her colleague’s passing.
“I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan,” Kelly wrote in a touching Facebook post, attaching a picture of herself hugging Joan.
“Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her.”
Joan is survived by daughter Melissa and her grandson Cooper.
Kelly feels for the family as they grieve and she gave a special acknowledgement to Melissa, who will bury her mother this weekend.
“Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I'm sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her,” she said. “Melissa and Cooper, my thoughts are with you and I love you both so much. Joan, thank you for taking me in and loving me as a daughter. I will miss you deeply and will always hear your voice in my head saying ‘my darling get out there and be you!’”
Kelly first began working with Joan on Fashion Police in 2011.
According to Us Weekly, the comedy legend’s funeral will take place on Sunday September 7 at Temple Emanu-El in New York City.
