Kendall Jenner has no idea whether she'd choose to be in Keeping Up with the Kardashians if given the option now rather than having "no say" when it started.

The 19-year-old and her family rose to fame on the hit TV show, which is now in its tenth series and still going strong.

While the programme has brought plenty of perks, such as helping Kendall launch her successful fashion career, the teenager isn't sure whether she'd choose to have the lifestyle again.

"My life was always different growing up. I mean, even before the show, my dad [Bruce Jenner] was who he is. He's an Olympic athlete. And we were going to premieres, like Finding Nemo premieres, and we would be little kids, like, before the show, walking down the red carpet," she recalled to the American issue of GQ, adding that she remembers visiting Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch as a youngster and being in awe.

"Me and my little sister [Kylie] were placed in, like, 'OK, there's gonna be a TV show around.' We didn't have a say. And how could we have a say? It was in our home. There was no way we couldn't be on it... Like, now? If someone was like, 'Do you...?' Honestly, I can't answer that question. I have no idea. I don't remember. I was ten years old when the TV show started. I don't remember what it was like before."

But she isn't angry at how things panned out and feels lucky to have been given the opportunities she's had.

Many were quick to doubt Kendall's modelling talents at the beginning, but landing campaigns for the likes of Calvin Klein and Estée Lauder, along with walking for big brands such as Marc Jacobs, soon proved nonbelievers wrong.

She insists she didn't pursue fashion to prove something and that she's always dreamed of working in the industry.

It's also a welcome break from the cameras which regularly follow her in life.

"I told them from the beginning, I was like, 'OK, love you guys, but we're not gonna do this. You're not gonna follow me to shows, you're not gonna be with me on this ride,'" she said of the E! cameras.
