Kevin Costner not a fan of Halloween

Kevin Costner

Kevin Costner is "a little at odds" with wearing costumes.

The 57-year-old actor is not really looking forward to Halloween.

Kevin prefers to don normal clothes, as eccentric outfits don't really appeal to him.

"I'm not a guy who likes Halloween, so I'm a little at odds with what I've chosen to do [for a living]," he told British newspaper The Sun.

"I never liked going to a party dressed up as a pirate because I guess once you get that initial, 'Ooh you're a pirate', then you feel a little silly for the rest of the party."

Kevin portrays "Devil" Anse Hatfield in TV mini-series Hatfields & McCoys, which centres on a feud between two families after the US Civil War.

The actor confesses that he has a soft spot for dress up on this programme, as he enjoys what his gunslinger character wears.

"Putting on the guns, letting the beard go, getting the pipe, that is fun," he said.

"You kind of look at everybody and you wink, you go, 'Man, I have one of the great jobs in the world'."
