Khloé: I need a fresh start
Khloé Kardashian is looking forward to what 2014 brings.
The 29-year-old reality television star's marriage to Lamar Odom has dominated headlines for the majority of 2013 amid reports of his alleged drug use and infidelity.
Khloé filed for divorce from the basketball player on December 13, and in a new interview with the UK edition of Cosmopolitan magazine admits she's ready to put the past behind her, although she wouldn't change it.
"I need a good fresh start. I'm excited for this year to be over with," she says, explaining, "I don't regret anything about my life. My life has made me who I am at this moment, and I'm very happy with who I am. No matter if it's great, disgusting, beautiful or ugly, it happens and it makes you you. Life is about how you process things."
Khloé's also feeling great about her body. One of her New Year's resolutions is to show it off.
"In the past year, I think I've lost around 30 lbs., and I'm feeling good," she says. "I've worked very hard on my body, so I think now I can sex it up a little!"
"My 2014 mission is to wear a crop top with jeans. I've never done that, so it has to happen one day."
Despite feeling confident in her skin now, the TV star admits that wasn't always the case. She also recalls a moment that has resonated with her for years, when she heard momager Kris Jenner gossiping about her "need" for cosmetic surgery.
"She didn't mean harm, but when I was around 9, I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job," Khloé remembers. "I was shocked. I hadn't even thought about it. I've grown into my face, but I've had makeup artists tell me, 'You should get a nose job.' I'm so happy that I never have.
"I'm proud for losing weight when I wanted to, and I've never resorted to surgery," she continues. "I'm not against it. One day I probably will, but it would be on my terms."
Khloé's full interview is scheduled to hit stands this week.
