Khloé Kardashian breaks silence on Lamar Odom
Khloé Kardashian has thanked friends, family and fans for their prayers in her first social media post since her estranged husband Lamar Odom regained consciousness.
Khloé Kardashian has spoken out about her “incredibly difficult week” after her estranged husband Lamar Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on 13 October (15).
The reality star has remained by her former spouse’s bedside in Las Vegas but now he appears to be on the road to recovery and has been transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles, the 31-year-old has finally had a chance to thank people for their support.
“This past week has been incredibly difficult,” she wrote on her website on Tuesday (20Oct15). “I am so thankful to family, friends and fans who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made.”
Lamar was rushed to the facility after being found unresponsive at the Love Ranch South brothel. He was reportedly found with cocaine and a herbal pill similar to Viagra in his system, which subsequently led to a series of strokes and organ failure.
As the couple is still legally married following a separation in December, 2013, Khloé has been making all major decisions about his care, and she admitted in her post that she couldn’t have done it without her family behind her.
“You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure,” she continued. “Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!"
Khloé has now moved with Lamar to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, California. ET Online reports that his children from his previous relationship are also on their way to be by their father’s side, as they were in Las Vegas.
