Khloé's 'mini party' for Lamar
Khloé Kardashian apparently hosted a small get-together for her husband Lamar Odom’s birthday on Wednesday.
The couple’s marriage has been under strain in recent months following allegations of Lamar’s drug use and infidelity. However, they were spotted together at a Kanye West concert recently and Lamar was also invited to Khloé’s mom Kris Jenner’s birthday party on Tuesday. According to insiders, Khloé had some low-key plans as Lamar turned 34 on Wednesday.
"Over the last few days they started talking all the time. So [on Tuesday] she invited him to Kris' birthday party. He had a great time,” a source told Us Weekly. "Khloé invited him over and has a little party planned," the insider shares. "It may be just the two of them - he doesn't know yet. But he is hopeful and going."
Last week Lamar insisted his relationship with Khloé is “unbreakable”, while insiders suggest she is ready to end the marriage after he was apparently spotted looking “wasted” at a Halloween party.
Khloé is believed to have hosted a small get-together for Lamar at their marital home, which he is said to have moved out of some months ago.
However, it seems Lamar wasn’t in the mood to celebrate too much as he was spotted leaving a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles after having lunch alone yesterday. Dressed in gym shorts and a sweatshirt, Lamar looked rather downcast as he exited the eatery.
In contrast, Kris had a big bash with all her loved ones present at the family home in Calabasas, California, on Tuesday night. The backyard was transformed for a dance party and a DJ was hired to ensure everyone was in high spirits.
"Spontaneous dance party at the Jenners!" Kris’ daughter Kendall Jenner wrote on Instagram to accompany a photo of the DJ spinning tunes. "Come one, come all."
Guests were treated to gourmet food and the only face missing was Kris’ eldest child Kourtney Kardashian. Kourtney had to miss the fun as she was in New York City promoting the beauty line she runs with sisters Kim and Khloé.
"Yes, I missed her birthday because I'm in New York," she told E! News, "but they had a huge party last night. I got to see pictures on Instagram and my mom wrote us an email and was like, 'Last minute dance party at my house, I want a dance floor!' And I saw they had a sushi bar set up, so it looked really fun and I'm sad I missed it."
