Kim Cattrall and The Kids Are All Right were among the winners at the Gay And Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's 22nd annual Media Awards.

The Sex And The City star was honoured with the Golden Gate Award, which is presented to a media professional who has increased the visibility and understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

Those winners included Scissor Sisters as music artist, Project Runway for reality programme, True Blood for drama, and Modern Family and Glee in a tie for comedy series.
